Any tips on removing the adhesive from the foam strips around the LCD on a ti82? I tried rubbing alcohol and water but it just seemed to spread it out.[/img]
Isopropyl alcohol will do it. If you let it sit for a minute and then rub it into the adhesive, the adhesive will start breaking down and can be removed cleanly.
Will try that method now

EDIT: I tried letting the isopropyl alcohol (70%) sit on the clear screen for ~20 minutes, when I came back it was mostly evaporated, but I rubbed around what was there and it didn't do much. Am I doing something wrong? Any other ways to do this?
Just realized you can't delete posts, sorry about the double post.
I don't know, maybe some GoGone?

But next time, use the edit button so you don't double post. Wink

Just for clarity, you can delete posts if they are the last post in the topic.
Just click the "X" in the corner.
That is helpful, and when I tried googone it worked great. I don't think it blurred the screen or anything.
Glad to be of help! Smile
After closer inspection, it did not remove everything. However it did get the majority.
