Has it been attempted on a 84+ or an 89 Ti? If one could link to the internet using the cable for mini male A USB to normal female, and then a usb modem, then one could download games, read news, and send/recieve e-mail, maybe. Even listen to streamed (low quality) music?! The calc would probably have to navigate within a specific domain name that had simplified web pages, or even maybe have a special ISP. I don't really know and don't intend to investigate, just throwing the idea out there.

How is this feasible when you would have to sit at a computer to do this, a computer which can do all of those things better?
Not trying to be cynical, just realistic...there are plenty of other things that haven't been done yet, things that would be more beneficial overall.

I don't know about the usb port, but there was a program on ticalc for using a modem with the link port. |

correct, however it doesn't work properly on SEs, and requires a serial modem+cable |

The point is that it would hopefully not require a computer, and be able to connect from any phone jack. |
