i have made a screenie of the new 100% ASM routine. The current file is ~2KB, that includes sprite routines and fastcopy. The 'it is a house!' is temporary, and is only to test the event colission, and a try-out for how text (like when you talk to someone) looks on the screen.
another reason why it's temporary is that i hate the current code. It's way too unefficient. It uses crappy romcalls that mess up the screen sometimes after running the game
I will probably make my own routines for text, to avoid evil romcalls.

Here's a screenie:
(if it's runs messy, that's just the animated gif. It's kinda smooth on-calc)
No smooth scrolling, i haven't figured that out yet.

Why did you resize to 200*183? It makes the sprites look very ugly.

Also, if this isn't smoothscrolling, then what on earth was that tibasic smoothscrolling topic about?

That's my VTI, it's crap. It resizes the screen or something while emulating. Everything looks crappy on that thing.

That's what I was trying to do, keep my guy in the middle and move the screen around him. Dunno how to on TIP tho.

Smooth scrolling means one pixel at a time, as opposed to 1 tile at a time. It is much harder to code.

83 plus, but i think they're quite similar to 83 romcalls.
Here are the Romcalls used:
b_call(_RunIndicOff)
b_call(_GrBufClr)
b_call(_PutS)
b_call(_darkline)
b_call(_Iline)
b_call(_getkey)

Do they exist on the 83?

btw, the last 4 are only used in the crap routine that triggers if you walk in a door. The first 2 are only used in the first lines of the prog. The actual engine doesn't use any romcalls Very Happy .

Yeah, those exist on the 83, I'd like a peek at your source code, might get back to learning more assembly now that there's a unix ti83 emulator.
