If I remember correctly, DS had a topic a while ago in which someone mentioned that there was an app perameter to let paid apps expire on a certain date. However, 83+ did not have a clock. Now that the 84+ is out, and has a clock, will it be possible to have apps that expire?

Maybe, but since the clock would be stored in RAM, you could set it back. Also, if it's anything like the 89 clock you'll be setting it yourself.

I'm sure someone will try that option out, but I doubt that it'll be a popular download.

No one seems to want TI's apps even when they're completely free.

How true. Though there was that one time TI was offering their CellSheet app for free to their European customers. Then they realized people (who lived outside of Europe) were merely selecting a country from Europe and setting the language to one they could understand. Wasn't free anymore after that. Laughing

Cellsheet just sounds good, it isn't good for anything really.

Unless, of course, you like bragging about how you can have a cellsheet program on your calculator.

All the SE's come with it. And they couldn't even spell it right (CelSheet). Plus, you really start to miss the lack of pixels...

I think they cut out the extra " l " from CellSheet because of an 8 character limit in the app menu. Even if I had the app, I don't have anything I'd use it for.

The clock on the 89 is affected by few things. Some games seem to "pause" it while running, and doing other processor consuming things slows it down, as it were. Other than that, it's been pretty accurate. (The only time it's been totally reset was upon new OS installation.)

we'll just have to see how good it is. Doubt anyone'll make apps like that/anyone would download them if they did.
