Very Happy Ok guys,

Things are going better then I originally thought. I thought that once I added NMEs the game would run so slow that the game would have ot be put into the SE category only. However with some massive code optimization and runaround subroutines I managed to get enemiys to shoot and kill you if you are within range, change directions when you pass them, and die depending on their own life. The game runs very fast for everything its doing and I was very surprised. It supports unllimited enemies, so basically the entire level could be FILLED with nmes, yet each one will have its own mind and the game will run the same speed as if there were only 1 nme on screen.

I also added water. Not that big of an improvement but it still looks mad cool.

Thats about it so far, sorry this game is taking so long to make.

Yeah everybody the game is awesome. I'm glad I handed the project over to Bryan because it couldn't have been made any better by anyone else. From the info I've gathered the demo will be ready as soon and he draws enough frames to what I figure will also be the first level. Excellent Job Bryan !! I can't wait to see the demo.

hahahahahhaah well Im glad yall are so excited. All I have to do is make two more frames and MAYBE, MAYBE make boss. But if i make a boss it will prolly be about 4 more days. Sad

Oh yeah and I plan on adding weapon upgrades and Freemen into the levels. Andrew gave me a great sprite idea for a different kind of enemy that would appear as if he had a rocket launcher. OOOHHHH YEAH!!!

They will be able to shoot very far and take about 3 hits to kill. But all Ill have to do is make a unified equation dependant on a veriable to allow weapon upgrades. But i think without the upgrades the game wont be as fun. Heres the rocket launcher guy Very Happy

4x4 sprites? That's crazy! It's amazing what you can do with 16 bits of code.

PS: Motivation: There is no I in team! Err...I guess that doesnt work in this case. Well, good luck, and don't pay attention to anything else in life!

I'm not sure if you are going to make him be able to army crawl, but here's a sprite I made:

I know it's 3x5, but its just a thought. It's supposed to be him on the ground with a stand for the gun.

Hey, nice sprites guys!!!

i could use the guy on the stand up gun and the fixed gun turret idea, but as far as anything wider then 5 , i wont use.

I got the weapon upgrades all worked out and i got the rocket launcher enemys to generate. However I have to make a few mods to the nme routine and a few to the firing routine. Jedd... I know I said that it would be done in about 2-3 days, but that was when I wasnt trying to update the nmes and weapons it wont be to much longer but PLZ give me an extension so i can add these new features Very Happy .

Plus its hard because im addicted to Morrowind hahaha that game is sooo tight.

Haha ok. I was just kidding in that post...so dont take me seriously. I cant wait to see the new features and sprites. But I agree, don't post any new screen shots until the release, it just builds the tension!
