No, you are just accessing the list at different points, replacing the bolded numbers below.

If B=20:LF(2)+1→LF(2)            //.1B=2

While we're on the subject, the best RPGs for the TI-83 Plus are, IMHO, The Verdante Forest: The Final Tale and Marc the Superkid Quest - True. You really haven't experienced calculator gaming until you've played these games. Desolate may be ≥ as good, but I haven't gotten the chance to play it, so I can't judge.

What about those "Reign of Legends" games by Kevin Ouellet? Aren't those good too? I can't play them. I tried to download them to my calculator but I kept getting an error. And I think it may be too big for my RAM.

Guys I think there is a topic about this, but if not make one and lets talk about the "best" rpgs (as I would like to). I just hate seeing someones topic being cluttered by "not on subject" posts. Ignore me if you wish, since I am only suggesting this :P

BabyBoy: So is there any updates you can tell us about? I am looking forward to this!

i dont know if i can continue this game, it takes to long to do any programming, and i am just not good enough to make anything optimized enough to make people not scoff.

Probably just have to take a short programming break and reorganize everything. RPGs always seem to take longer than planned.

Have you thought about finding a 2nd programmer to split the workload? Or maybe just taking it in a different direction?

You know, if you never finished things you started in real life, people might think you had ADD and make you take Ritalin.

Just kidding. :-D

I have an idea for your game. I'm not entirely interested myself, but if you drummed up enough support, and then published the entirety of what you have right now, you could split the workload thus:

--Interested coders would examine your code and graphics.

--Each would promise to imitate it as closely as possible (for continuity's sake).

--Each would then choose one part of the game (a level, a certain interface, the boss codings, etc. etc.) and code it themselves.

--They'd send you the code and you'd copy/paste it together, add their names to the creators list, and test run it.

--If it doesn't work so well, send it out and have people work to make it better.

--Life's good.

See? Now everyone's happy. Anyway, just thought I'd put in my 2 cents. It's worth what you just paid for it. :-)

I think you should just stick with smaller programs for now until you are more experienced. An RPG is usually considered an advanced/expert coding game and i never made one until i knew almost everything there was to basic!

That'd be too much to go in one post, I'm afraid. You'll have to download the
program and read the source using something other than your calculator. Smile
