CSX is the name of an OS I am making. Currently, it's status can be described as "functionally worthless", so why am I bothering to mention it? Well, I think there may be a problem in the interrupt routine, and therefore it needs to be tested on real hardware and not VTI. Problem: I have four dead AAA batteries. So I need exactly one person willing to put his calc on the line and do an "alpha test" for me. If you are interested I'll send you a present by e-mail.

I'd add a screenshot, but calccapture is terrible.

Edit: Apparently, leofox can't open zip files. But you still don't get anything because I don't like spammers. Smile

And that has to do with my programming skills and eligibility to alpha test because...

Oh I get it. You're just too lazy to do it. Razz.

okay: i alpha tested a bit, and came to the conclusion it doesn't work AT ALL.

you said i had to stop it at 7%

well, it never reaches 7 per cent, the calc screen keeps saying 0%, even though graphlinks blue bar counts up to 100 %. until now, it's still normal, and it works, but then it tries to validate, and it gives an error, i can't turn my calc off anymore (well except taking the batteries out). It says waiting... please install calculator software now. I tried again with the battery+del trick, and it says the same.

So i just reinstalled my original TI-OS, so i can use my calc again.

what is it that i do wrong?

You don't have to worry, I found a set of moderately fresh batteries and determined that Rusty Wagner is incompetent (Just Joking).

Oh, and you have to do the batt pull when it says "Validating...". Sorry about that, but I did say you had to play around with it. Smile

OK, it works now, but it only says "mem cleared"

i can turn it off only by pulling a battery out.

the 2nd responds by refreshing the screen.

Other keys do nothing.

the calculator can't communicate anymore, the only way is the battery+del trick.

For those that are interested, I've updated it. <-- Link burned. Look for it a ticalc. When they get around to uploading it, that is.

If you have a problem with that, blame Arcane. If it wasn't for him I would never have known it existed. Smile

Haha, from now on I'm going to call my error handling function oh_noes().

Can't wait to see the face of my future Java teacher when he reads my source code.

How well does the updated version run?

It prevents having too much code in space-critical sections.

What the hell does that have to do with my project?

Topic closed until I have something new to report.
