a simple way to save your programs of being deleted when your calculator screws up is to create a group

create new group
choose the files you want to save ( be aware that they have to be in ram when you want to group them )

I always thought that backing them up on your computer was a bit easier...

Actually it is easier to back up your prgms on your computer but imagine the situation: you´re sitting in school, boring lessons, nothing to do except playing stupid games on your calculator and then your calculator hangs up itself and you have nothing to do. ( and i lost my link-cable )

I also like grouping. But I only group important programs, like the ones I'm making. Let's say I was playing a game and Mirage screwed up and cleared my ram. I can just ungroup instead of going to the computer and resending everything. The only catch is it takes up more memory to group programs.

Also, protected programs can't be ungrouped.
