Thank you for downloading Swordfighter. I never really planned to release this game, but I saw that I could do more with it than I had originally planned, so here we are. This file is simply meant to help you with controls and such, so it would be a good idea to read it through. As the name suggests, it is a game about fighting an enemy with a sword.

After downloading the file, port it onto your calculator via TI-Connect CE. It will appear as “SWRDFTER” on your calculator. Simply run it, and you’re ready to go!

On the menu, there are dashes next to each mode (except Arcade, which displays your high score). These dashes represent if you have completed the said mode or not. If there is a dash (-), you have not completed the mode. If there is a star (*), you have completed the mode.

While fighting, you will see two bars: one on the top left and one on the top right. The leftmost bar is you health, and the rightmost is the enemy’s.

There are four modes to choose from, each with their own differences:
Normal - Enemy moves a bit slow, is less aggressive, and has 10 health.

Hard - Enemy moves a bit faster, is a bit more aggressive, and has 10 health.

Master - Enemy moves fast, is pretty aggressive, and has 10 health.

Arcade - Enemy moves a bit faster than Normal, is a bit more aggressive, and has 5 health. When you defeat an enemy in this mode, a new one appears with full health while you retain your health. Survive for as long as possible and aim for new high scores!

In every mode, the player has only 3 health.

Also, be aware that, as well as normal attacks, the enemy can also damage you by touching you.

This game features a technique known as “parrying”. When you press the “down” key during a fight, you guard yourself with your sword for a quick moment. If the enemy tries attacking you while you are parrying, they will get knocked back and you will take no damage. The enemy has the ability to charge in front of you from anywhere, indicated with an “!” over their head. This means that they are about to strike with a quick attack, so either dodge or parry respectively.
