Digg Frontpage: Pokemon Purple
Published by KermMartian on December 15, 2006 at 12:33:09 PM CST | Discuss this article (52)

It occured to me that Daniel Thorneycroft (our TI-Freak8x) needed some publicity on his upcoming Pokemon Purple game for TI graphing calculators. I had him write up a topic, post it, and I subsequently dugg it. Twenty-one hours later, the story had 25 diggs, yet 4 hours after that, I returned to find it with 308 diggs and frontpaged status. We have officially broken the top usage statistics with 380 simultaneous users at one point; even now we're still at 110 online guests, presumably from Digg. Enjoy!

Update: Wow, up to 686 diggs as of press time, after roughly a day and a half. Props all around. TIFreakware eventually crashes under the load, so we got all but one of the images out in time onto Cemetech; all remains well. Even now, 22 guests are browsing around. Fear the power of Cemetech+Digg!
