There have been no articles about The BASIC Elite lately, so I thought I'd post some updates about this Cemetech project. The Newsletter, which has been published twice so far, has at least temporarily been moved from a semimonthly to monthly format to allow for longer, more complete, and more accurate issues. The third newsletter edition will be available next week, containing some new tips and tricks, reviews, and more.

The 1337 Guide to BASIC published primarily by Jon Pezzino under the auspices of the Elite continues to be regularly updated; it now contains many pages of tips and tricks to optimize BASIC programs, whether you are a newbie or an advanced programmer who has dabbled in ASM. In addition, Steve Hartman ('hart') has published Taking Your TI-83+ TI-BASIC Programs To The Extreme, another Elite guide to optimizing specifically for redundancy and speed in your programs. Kerm Martian is writing a comprehensive guide to axionometric and perspective 3D using both wireframing and hidden line methods in TI-BASIC based on his experiences with several 3D programs and an uncoming, not as-yet announced project.

Finally, several BASIC Elite Apprentices have been added lately, so it was suggested that a logo be created for apprentices as well as full members. Enjoy, and looks for future BASIC Elite news and publications!
