Need help with C++ Compiler

Well, it's good to know that someone else was able to get it working smoothly. I couldn't, but then again, I am an idiot, so that's not suprising...btw I was just using the free compiler download and the SDK, no IDE or MFC (which is good, 'cause I bet I wouldn't have gotten it to work anyway).
Back from the dead after nearly 10 years, and lurking once again...

yeah, the VC command line utilities is all f**ked up, i never really got it to work right either

i was using the VC++ IDE and compiling through that

Aaaahhhh, that would make it easier...too bad it's not free though.
