Hi,

Looking at the famous code to toggle lowercase typing on the 83/84, I looked up the new address + offset (got lucky that it's still the same on the 84C) and successfully ported the one line program Smile
(Old code : 21148A3E08AE77C9 New one : 214A8B3E08AE77C9 )

So, run it once to be able to double-tap the [Alpha] key to switch to lowercase, and run it again to disable it.

Needless to say, porting something for a device I don't even have (yet? Razz) in a language I know pretty much nothing about, I feel proud (and it's my first asm prgm Razz) x)

Thanks to Brandon for WikiTI, DrDnar for the 84C include file, FloppusMaximus for the original code, Runner112 for the z80 bot, and KermM for the emu Wink

Ooh, this is great! One of my first complaints with the 84C was that it didn't have lowercase toggle enabled right away--at this point, why wouldn't they do that?! Good work Smile
Thanks Smile

I'm not sure why TI doesn't have this enabled, yeah (maybe it is not to confuse users with lowercase not being usable variables ?)
they could have just linked the lowercase to save as the REALvars...

Yeah, I think that's the reason as well. Smile It's good that it's still an available feature, though; I was a little concerned they might have decided to remove it.
Yay, then this code should work on the TI-83+/84+/83+SE/84+SE/84+C:

Code:

FD7E24EE08FD7724C9

Basically, it just uses IY offsets Razz It is one byte larger, but it could be useful for program porting.
That's handy, Xeda, nice. That's an interesting idea, actually: creating TI-BASIC programs that would work well on both LCD sizes. I think ASM programs would be a bit too challenging, unfortunately.
Ah, very nice Smile

I should update my program when I am home ^^
