this castle is in creative but it took me a long time to work out a functioning portcullis without sand and gravel when its closed. I used stick pistons a with pistons on top to push up two layers of gravel. the gravel pushes up the portcullis in to the pistons facing down. It works very well. I also used this castle to fool around with trap stairs and other piston contraptions. It is one of my favorite builds
