K so i need to know how TI-84's transmit data and it would also be helpful if you include how the wire for the serial jack works, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PS: TI-84's use Mono signal right?
The calculators have two bidirectional binary data lines. Each of the two lines can send and understand 0v or 5v, corresponding to 1 and 0. The TI serial protocol, CALCnet, and other networking protocols all do different things with the link port. What can I be more specific about? There's a bit of data in these whitepapers/documentation items:
