Looking good, a fairly familiar layout of course with a bit of graphical tweaking. Keep us abreast of developments.
Thanks Kerm as a matter a fact i just finished the menu and the menu contains a link to the programs, not icons

Could I recommend that you include acceleration? Also, if you are using Celtic/xLib, you can check for multiple keys being pressed via Real(8) (I think). That way we could press Up/Right and the shell would move your cursor up and right at the same time (so you don't have to press them separately). It'd also be cool if it would remember where you last were, when you re-open the program.
OK that sounds good I'll try to impliment that. I'm also changing the menu style to somthing like a macs menu.
I second both acceleration and 8-direction cursor movement. Good calls there, Catherine. I must complement you on the mouse speed, though, at least as far as that screenshot shows.
Thanks Kerm I worked hard to get the speed to work and look right. It's good to know people appreceate my work. If you want I can post some more screensots in the morning too when I have some more work done with the mouse and GUI. Also please keep posting feedback, it helps to know what I can do better.
On the next screenshot, don't forget to show that clicking a program runs it. As well as being able to scroll through all the programs you have. It would also be cool if it could show you the DCS/MirageOS/ION icons.
Oh, I got the impression that he didn't really have program listing going yet, and I don't think he wrote code to differentiate between ASM programs for the different shells. It would be neat to see what you have in mind, though!
Ya sorry I'm still having with the program that lists all the programs
but I did get the mouse acceleration to work and ti changed the menu style

Ah, I think I like that new menu style much more; it seems more original. You should modify the mouse to stop at the edges, one pixel in, if it doesn't already?

ok i'll try that
also did you see that i added acceleration
I did indeed see that you did so, and it looks quite nice to me. Good job. also did you see that i added acceleration
Thanks Kerm. Also I have a question about custom skins for WabbitEmu ... were exactly can you get them or how do you make them?
I've tried and tried but i still cant figure out a decent filter to use for sorting ASM files from BASIC files. Can someone help me because I just can't figure out a script that filters out just the BASIC programs

Give every program a BASIC icon at first, then loop through all the programs in the list ouputted by det(9), checking to see if it's a Doors CS/MirageOS/ION/TI-OS asm program and modifying the icon accordingly.
ya but how is the problem. I've tried so many sorting techniques to do it but i still get randomly named programs like sum( and Disp

Those are not random. They are the "#" and "!" program, which are important to how the calculator functions. Just sort out programs that don't start with A-Z and theta. Register to Join the Conversation
