I’m writing a viable LineRider port in Axe, for people to take the game with them wherever! It started as a way to teach myself more about programming, instead of trivial knowledge of calculators, but ultimately became a real possibility!
Already complete:

Cursor routines,
part of the map saving routines,
part of map rendering routines.

TODO:

Sprites,
finish line drawing routines,
physics engine (Biggest part of project, I’m going to have to contact the author of the online flash original.),
HUD,
Title screen.

I could use a lot of help, here, no matter what that may mean for my dignity and mean to whats currently there in my program.
I remember when this came out and was all the rage. I look forward to this port Smile
I remember when I used to love this game. Good luck! Smile
Smile Enthusiastic encouragement help,s but I trust I'll receive help if I run into a huge problem.
Sounds cool!
BLeh I'm a slow worker. But I'm trying to get it done, without just giving up. I'm not that good at programming xD

Well, it depends how much effort you're willing to put in. We won't write code for you if it looks like you're just relying on us to do all the work. On the other hand, I do hold Cemetechians to a much higher standard than just "Good idea" for posts on a new project.
Well I'm actually hoping that nobody will help me. I am trying, really hard, to be a self-sufficient problem solving programmer. I am much better with hardware, apparently.

Whelp, it takes effort and time to get better at anything, programming most certainly included, so good luck.
do you actually know how the physics engine in question is going to work? until you have a working copy of that, don't assume that it's possible. advanced 2d physics with slopes, friction, and acceleration (not to mention a smooth-scrolling camera) are a very tall order on a platform like the 83+

the closest i've ever seen was deep's attempt at porting Fancy Pants Adventures:

he has had years of experience, but still wasn't able to make a finished project out of this.
that's not to say you shouldn't try, though. good luck!
