My strategy would be to ctrl-shift-f for get/set transform/rotation functions and identify which ones interact with the user.
Wouldn't that over-complicate things for modders?
How, they would just have to know where those Euler angle conversions are being done and account for them?

I'm honestly not really bothered by either layout, and there's no particular reason modders can't follow either strategy.
Could you modify the engine to simply detect the type of rotation input and do the necessary conversions on the fly? Then modders could use whatever they're comfortable with without going through layers of script conversions.
That would be not fun since the rotations have similar notation. A flag to the necessary ConsoleMethods would perhaps be possible.

It still seems error prone, and the additional string parsing would slow things down.
