Modplug tracker music from some random platformer, except the last song which used both Modplug and a real guitar
I like every song she's put out so far, so I'll just post one as a youtube embed. I've bought six of her songs since seeing this video and her recent dub step remix.

I thought of more than 5 songs, so I made one big one out of the ones I like.

My interests have shifted a lot in a year; after deciding to look outside of music that my parents, my friends, and my peers see as "good music", I looked around to find music that I found to truly be interesting to me. Turns out I ended up being a huge fan of genres like Italo Disco, Europop, Eurodance, and Eurobeat; specifically, I've grown fond of the works by artists like Ken Laszlo, Modern Talking, Silent Circle, Koto, and The Hurricanes.

And a bonus Modern Talking song because they're superb.

1. Ode to Joy

2. Haydn Piano Sonata #40

3. Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings

4. Edvard Grieg Norweigan Dance #2

5. Dvorak Rusalka Polonaise
Deco*27 is just generally awesome.

As is marina.

Put them together and it's painfully delicious.

A complete change of pace, Comaduster is also quite nice.

And a bit of fun, "What's He Building In There?"
I've got a really catchy song that I've come to love these last two days:

Thank You by MTKO

For those who don't desire to click-through to youtube:
I've got a few old school ones I really like:

Classical Sinatra (Stangers in the Night):

The Beatles (Yesterday):

Joe Esposito (You're the Best!):

Survivor (Eye of the Tiger):

Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven):

as for me... just 5 is too difficult. so here are 5 different moods, in order of liveliness.

raucous:
The Voodoo Trombone Quartet - Edgar
Caravan Palace - Cotton Heads (...well, basically anything by them, really Razz. take a look at this. if you find the beginning even remotely interesting, you should sit through the rest of it, as it just keeps getting better as it goes.)
Tally Hall - Banana Man
The Books - A Cold Freezin' Night
Man Man - Spooky Jookie

awake:
Fanfare Ciocărlia - Manea Tiganilor.
Apollon Quartet - Bag's Groove (i really love the versions of songs for this show =D)
Tim Kliphuis Trio - How About You?
Bela Karoli - Psychosomatic (i'm not sure if there's actually a version of this out there anywhere on the wob. this other song exists, but it's a different feel.)
Lisa Hannigan - Knots

calm:
Gregory Alan Isakov - This Empty Northern Hemisphere
Sea Oleena - Milk
Emmy the Great - Paper Forest (In The Afterglow of Rapture)
Andrew Bird - Why?
Alessi's Ark - Magic Weather

alone:
Bonobo - Black Sands
Ilaria Graziano - where does this ocean go?
Radical Face - A Pound of Flesh
Kiyoshi Yoshida - The Tree Song (a capella)
Gregory and the Hawk - For the Best

quiet:
Youth Lagoon - Montana
Sufjan Stevens - The Predatory Wasp Of The Palisades Is Out To Get Us!
Sparklehorse - Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain
Regina Spektor - Man of a Thousand Faces
Karen O and the Kids - Food is Still Hot
Stratovarius - Destiny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-ER5---jSk (which I am hearing right now from one of the neighborhood appartment)

Retronic Voice - Deciding the End http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9nfUdSwuoM (Italo disco from 2012)

Magic Knight Rayheart - Boss Battle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2TEa728GRY (Super Famicom)

Jurassic Park NES - Level 1 theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9tU1i-b6Bs (remix of Comic Bakery for the C64)

Train feat. Marilou - Bruises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vYNBueKgxM (Normally not into that type of song, but it has the same melodies as my favorite MODPlug Tracker power metal artist Albion/DavidXNewton)

Nice selection Ashbad, by the way. I'M a fan of italo disco as well, although mostly the 1985-90 stuff (then eurobeat), since it's less close to american disco and often more towards the hi-NRG style. IIRC, italo disco and hi-NRG are pretty much the ancestor of the japanese eurobeat we hear in DDR-type games.
5 songs is a short list to pick for all-time favourites, but here are 5 songs that I regularly listen to and enjoy very much:

Alice In Chains - Love, Hate, Love

Pixies - Hey

Pantera - Becoming

Faith No More - The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies

Living Colour - Information Overload
I recently fell in love with internet radio, here are three songs I've discovered.

One Republic - Counting Stars

Passenger - Let Her Go

Enrique Iglesias - Heart Attack
Bought this album on Sunday. Favourite song so far.

The Pretty Reckless - Heaven Below

Other songs:

The Pretty Reckless - Sweet Things
The Pretty Reckless - Going to Hell
my favorite songs? clearly, a bit different, but here you go:

DM Ashura's AAA
^^^---I dont think that is the full song, it has about a minute before it

DJ Splash - Crying Soul

Dimrain47's Operation :: Evolution

DM Ashura - Ignus Fatuus;yeah, another DM Ashura. he was amazing, though.

Me, Wolf. yeah, I think it was the best thing I have made so far.
I tend to listen to what everybody else calls "creepy music". Pretty much everyone else at my school listens to rap, so imagine how annoyed they are when I use my IT computer (attached to the best boom box in ROTC) to play this:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0WActw9OpI&#8206

www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT0mdVDCXhI

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEukCfMsAts

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy7bcjwZEZ8‎

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AwymX1RhdU

Usually, the above songs chase everyone into the other classroom or cause them to attack my stereo and use it to play rap.

"Here, let me play something," I say.
"NO! All your music is creepy!"
Necro-bump! What are some of your guys' favorite songs?

I've recently gotten a bit more into Metal. I'm not really a metal fan, there are a few Rammstein songs I enjoy but for the most part I shy away from metal because it's just a bunch of hard sounds and indecipherable yelling. But these following two artists are a stark difference from the metal music I'm familiar with.

"The Ghost and the Reaper" by The Dark Element

"To Erebor" by Wind Rose

On the more Pop-genre side of things, there's Jain and Sigrid. Both of these artists feature a very unique style which I found myself listening to over and over.

"Come" by Jain

"Strangers" by Sigrid

Two more:

Electronic(...?):
"Vacation" by Dirty Heads

Folk:
"Run Wild" by Laney Jones
I can't believe I haven't seen this topic before!
These are some of my tops lately. As much as I hate to admit it, I do listen to quite a bit of "normie" music, but I'll only share some less popular stuff, because there is no point in sharing very popular songs. The styles vary quite a bit, cause I'll listen to just about anything.
  1. "Rubicon Artist" by Intervals
  2. "Fable" by Intervals
  3. "Chateau" by Blackbear
  4. "One For All, All For One" by Razihel & Virtual Riot
  5. "Does It Feel" by Charlie Puth
Here's my favorite 5, in no particular order:

Ynot.

Xtrullor - Nirmiti
JPB - Levitate
Disfigure - Hollah!
Gargalan - Slowing Down
Panda Eyes - Colorblind
Sm84ce you didn't name your songs and I can't watch the videos. Razz

Anyways I use to like hard electronic music but I've given my ears a break and become a big Electo-swing guy. Here are my favorites:
1. Delight by Jamie Berry
2. Cat groove by Parov Stelar
3. The walking mustache by Odd Chap
4. Lazy Rosie by the electro swing sessions band
5. Mr. Fly by Dimaa
