By now you've noticed that every commercial break on every station is back-to-back political attack ads. This is because it's that time again when we in the United States vote for which d--ks we want to f--k us in the @ss for the next few years. Conservative pundits will tell you they're going to take control of both houses of congress, thereby ending the tyrannical socialist, communist, fascist regime of the evil democratically elected black man and his evil woman house speaker. Liberal pundits will tell you, "please kill me". I don't think anyone can deny that the democrats will lose seats, but will they lose enough to give Republicans back control? I don't think so, but I want to know what your feelings and predictions are. I think no matter how it goes, we're going to end up with a completely gridlocked government for the next 2-6 years, but what do you think?
Id value your opinion as a Political science minor a good deal more than my own, and any pundit on TV, if you'd care to share it.

And me, especially because in between Nikky's trolling he's an extremely intelligent individual (otherwise he'd be a far less successful troll). I'm afraid I don't watch TV so I haven't seen any of these ads, nor have I had the time to keep up with who is defending and arguing and promising what.
Gridlocked=Good, IMO. Usually, both sides are filled with idiots (because they know how to get elected) so you really don't want them doing anything they don't agree on anyways. Think about it.
Democrats want to pass some stupid law, republicans can easily gridlock them, and Vice versa. This sort of standoff is part of the reason the USA can withstand so many stupid leaders. They can't do what they want within their terms of office, because it takes so long for anything to go through. If it's really a good idea, hopefully the next leader also supports it.

Yeah, except that a gridlocked government means nothing gets done ever. That means tax cuts can expire(because they can't vote on new cuts to replace them), unemployment benefits can be halted(99ers anyone?), court nominees can be held(holding up the entire judicial system), and national security can even be compromised.
Granted, it might be amusing to see how pissed off people can get and how far they can go when the government completely stops, but that isn't really good for the country now is it?
