Glitches are hard(er) to purposefully code than working code. Plus it makes the game larger, which is the last thing the calc needs.

What is so special about this, you might ask? Well, in the red version you can catch mewtwo, and in the blue version, you can catch mew, both in the secret cave.
*Ahem* You can only catch Mewtwo in both versions; Mew could only be obtained via a gameshark, or at an official nintendo event. Also, will you inslude missingno? How about Glitch Town?
I know that, I have red/blue/yellow/gold/leafgreen/ruby/emerald. I just want to give an incentive to play through both versions.

I thought about missingno, and I might do it, memory permitting. And Glitch town, I have never even heard of it. Can you post where I might be able to access this info?

Yeah, very few people have heard of it; I only recently discovered it last year

Glitch City is a weird glitchy town that you can unlock (and get to) by doing the following in this order:
-Go to the Safari Zone (in Fuchia City)
-Enter Safari Zone (pay the 500 bucks)
-Go out of the Safari Zone and when the guy asks you if you want to leave, say ''No''
-Repeat the last step
-Save your game when you are in the Safari Zone, and turn it off
-Turn the game back on and leave the Safari Zone (the guy shouldn't ask you if you want to leave)
-Go to Cinibar Island and surf half on land and half on water, DO this until a message pops up- ''PA-Ding-Dong, Time's Up! Your Safari game is over!''
- You will then be transported back to the Safari Zone
-Exit the Safari Zone building and you will be in Glitch Town
Congrats you did it!

Sounds like a flag gets corrupted in the save memory...

Corrupting stuff could happen in the 68k version, but since it would almost have to happen either in Command Post Plus or an error in the PokéMod itself, there wouldn't be any serious errors like the ones embedded in Red and Blue, they would probably just be really annoying.

well, in theroy, someone with the right program could decomplile the original game, modify, and recompile for the calculator without much problem, except maybe memory (we are talking the exact same processor)
After you decompiled it, you would have to go through and change ROM calls and what not. They wouldn't be the same.
It would be a lil harder than you give credit for, since the code would be undocumented, you would get a brain cramp tryin to make sure you fixed everything, line by line...

Well, idea wise, that isn't hard. But he is programming on the 68k, in c, while I am programming on the lowly z80, in basic... :( That would make things kinda difficult. Besides, The events are gonna be the pain to program in, the maps will be a breeze. :)
And I have come up with a way to do 'scrolling' on the graphscreen. :D I wish to experiment with it, and I will let you know of the results.

I know both and can "translate" as needed. Although anyone could read C as is and understand the jist of it (except for pointer arithmetic, which is just crazy). Or you could come to my IRC Channel on irc.worldnet.net, channel #nerdyprods. Or to my site, where I could make a private forum.
This seems to have been looked over... So, what do you think, which one would work best?

I guess we could do a private forum. I tried IRC, got slammed with a virus that I about never go rid of. (came close to wipin the comp and reloadin the os)
I use ChatZilla. It runs through Firefox or Mozilla. Nothing has happened to me, and this computer has no virus protection whatsoever (since almost no one makes viruses for 98 anymore).

lol, well, it doesn't matter, I have this bad luck with technology. I live by the saying
'Anything that can go wrong, will times 10'
And some of the viruses that are out there now will wipe out the 98. Better watch yourself...

That's actually what I'm half hoping for so that it will force my parents to get me my new computer parts intead of stalling like they have for the past month or so.

Then go to a pron site, those things are always virus infested... Just make sure that you have EVERYTHING saved somewhere... Like on your server...
And as to this project, I will begin tonight, make a small map demo, see what can be done.

The private forum has been created. It's closed to everyone except me, you and another member of NP that's going to help me with stuff.
