Yup, that sounds about right to me. ComicIDIOT, I'd think the bigger concern than your short-term current work would be slightly longer-term and very long-term stuff, so make sure, UPS or no UPS, that you have a good backup plan in place.

What the hell is wrong with you? You want to save maybe $1 on the motherboard so you can spend $800 on a case? The USB3.0 support is in the chipset, the chipset is the same for all the motherboards. They *all* have the expensive part, the only reason a board would be 2.0 only would be if they were too lazy/cheap to wire it up, and you most certainly don't want that board.

Case
CPU rated speed
RAM rated speed
Here is what you *don't* skimp on:
Motherboard
PSU
RAM quality
Video card brand (good customer service is *well* worth the $10-20 premium on $200+ cards)
