hi.. im in a little bit of a delema lol. i used the ti 84 program of doors cs so i could play games on my nspire. well i assumed that the programming would be the same for the inspire 84 keypad. i was wrong. when i installed the program, it crashed my nspire then it wouldnt turn back on. i can still connect it to the ti connect program but i cant seem to reverse the damage....

my ti nspire keypad works so is all of the programming in the keypad ?? if so could i just buy a new keypad???

any help will be appreciated.
Try resetting the NSpire from the back of the calculator.
i cant beleive i didnt even think of that but never the less it didnt work.....
Have you tried pulling the batteries?
yes and it still wont turn on.
Try re-installing the entire N-Spire OS. You can find a copy on the TI website. This will reset the 84+ emulator memory, and put back the original apps that were on it. Don't worry, the NSpire files will be untouched.
dude your a life saver!!!! so now i have a question... is there any way of getting games on the 84 part of the nspire???

Doors CS 6.2 and higher works on the NSpire in the tests that my members have conducted; is that the one you were using?
no i used 6
no it wasnt 6 actually it was 6.2 and i just went to the home site and downloaded 6.2 and tried it again and now it works but when i started doors, it said 6.1.0 and it shuts off on me while im playing ion games?? do you know when 7.0 will be out???
nvm it was just the connection with the keypad and the calc.

How much free RAM shows up in your Memory Menu?

Archive everything, then run any of them from Doors CS. Doors CS can unarchive things to run them, but they require [size of game] bytes of RAM to run each. For example, if a game is 12KB (and in ROM), you need at least 12KB RAM free to run it. Note that if it's in RAM, Doors CS only needs about 800 bytes to move things around before running it.

When a program is in RAM, it's stored somewhere in user space, above $9d95 but below the VAT, the stack, etc. When an ASM program is executed, Doors CS has to move the contents from wherever it is to $9d95 precisely; in order to do this, it swaps the program and whatever is in $9d95 back and forth in 768-byte blocks using AppBackupScreen. ok so i guess my question is how do i archive it??

and how do i know how much memory my archive can hold??

[2nd][+] shows the amount of free RAM and ROM that you have.
ram is the system memory to run programs and rom is the archive memory right???

and how do you archive games??
