Okay, so get this...

I can stay anywhere in the Continental U.S. for 30 days this summer. Where? I'm definitely contemplating New Jersey, only because I have SO many people up there I know. Sadly all of my closest friends live scattered around the US.

Two way plan ticket to anywhere and the question still stands, where should I go?

I'm looking for opinions on places you guys have gone and enjoyed, places you all have heard of, or if you currently live in a highly populated area (or near one) that has some enjoyable attractions.

Briefly been to Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Arkansas.

Visited (vacation or other) Missouri, Florida, New York (although I wouldn't mind going back), Pennsylvania, D.C., Louisiana (too many times... Out of state ortho anyone? gehy...), Nevada, and Colorado (One place I'm thinking about going to again).

... and currently live in Texas.

Not a highly populated area (well Burlington sorta is), but Vermont is nice!

My parents have both been to Philadelphia and salt lake city and say they are both gorgeous so you may want to go there. Also what kind of stuff are you into because that would help a lot too.

Alaska is great. But pretty remote. The bay Area of California has some good stuff. There's Great America over in Milpitas, a three hour drive to Anahiem for Disney land and near by is Universal Studio's and the Hollywood Bowl - a big outdoor ampithetre.

I don't know where Yosemite is, but that's also in California.

I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT. Its a beautiful city, and if you like to ski or snowboard now is the time. From what I've heard it is cheaper (and better) than skiing and snowboarding in Colorado.

That said, if you don't like to ski or snowboard then SLC is just OK. Too many mormons for my taste (*way* too many 😉 )

Complaining about Mormons in Utah is kind of like complaining about Jews in Israel or Catholics in the Vatican....

I went to Arizona, and there were *way* too many Arizonians for my taste.

Actually, don't go there in the summer. It's like 120 degrees.

It all depends on what kind of places you like to go to. Do you like mountains? Beaches? Lakes?

If you go to NJ, you have easy access to day trips to DC, Baltimore, Washington, and NYC, and you can visit me as well. 😁

where is this Arizonia from which these Arizonians originate? Or is it sort of like Canadia?

I live in Maryland which, admittedly, is not the most picturesque state. However, I do live right in between Baltimore and Washington D.C. and am privileged to be able to go visit the museums there almost whenever I want and it is easy to get to either. However, this is mostly an option if you really enjoy art, although Washington D.C. has the air and space museum, spy museum, American Indian Museum, the News Museum and a lot more which are really great. (And obviously there's the Smithsonian)

However in terms of art there's the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) and the National Gallery, both of which are really good.

I'm definitely thinking of the North-East at the moment since I have so many friends up there. Friends, Museums, and other attractions... I'm thinking yes 🙂

I just need to save some money or see if I can hop around and stay at friend's places, lol.

I've definitely been up there once before, but that was under the full supervision of my father and he didn't allow for much leniency (it was fun nevertheless).
