Aye, one entry was already disqualified because the author asked for help on his entry at UTI.
Hehe, the little guy thought no one from here would look at UTI and would report him...

Little does he know that Cemetech and its Allies have eyes and ears all over the Internet... Evil or Very Mad

Aye, but I'm under the impression that he's still in the contest, he just is going to try a different entry.
Hey, speaking of entries.. If I email my program in, then update it before the deadline again, can I re-send it and only have the latest one graded? I ask this because I will have a freakish schedule the week it is due and I'm not sure if I will have time to send it in then. I have a working copy now I want to send in, but does emailing it in lock me out from making any possible bug-fixes in the future?
That's how it's been for most contests I think.
Yup, that's how we've done it.

That is how I have run it in the past. You were allowed multiple submissions, but only the latest will actually be looked at and graded. I am not sure how our new judge will be doing it though.

I would assume that we're sticking with that, assuming that Tari doesn't mind. I would be fine with continuing to honor that rule.

I see no reason to change it- send in as many copies as you want. Evil or Very Mad

I finally got around to buying myself an 84+, now I can really focus on this competition. Good Idea
Congrats, and good luck. I think it's going to be time to bump the topics in the other fora to remind people that this is still on and that the deadline is swiftly approaching!!
Sorry guys, but I have to tell you that I've become somewhat sidetracked. There's this sweet game called RL, and I've become quite involved in it as of late. Eventually, I'm going to get around to doing this game, but not in time for the contest, I'm sure. So, best of luck to everyone still in, I look forward to seeing what you all come up with, and if any of you want to try out RL sometime, it's right outside your door! Smile

Maybe some of us are driven to succeed in their technological achievements by something in RL that causes them pain.

I don't mean to put down any of the dudes here, or their awesome accomplishments. Computers are still sweet, and I'll still be doing plenty of work with them. I was just letting people know that I'll be taking a hiatus from the development. And I hope that anyone who has experienced pain in RL will take another try at it, because I've been in a really bad place all year, and even for years before, and I've learned that things can turn around when you keep trying.

Yup, this Friday I'll post a one-week notice on the sites. I have one/two entries so far. Would some mind reminding me on Friday in case I forget?
