Update 5.8.5.0047 just came out for the TI-84+CE
here (although don't download it on your calc yet). This version supposedly both BLOCKS the ArTIfiCE v1 exploit and ArTIfiCE v2 exploit. This is also in affect on the TI-83 premium CE model.
Beware before downloading this, and spread the news!
Very lame. I wonder if they even bothered to fix the second derivative graphing bug that was reported.
And thus, the cat and mouse game is confirmed. Truce was nice while it lasted, I guess.
Seems we'll always be stuck in this loop of exploit → patch → exploit → patch with TI, at least until they stop updating the CE which probably won't be for quite a lot more years to come I'm assuming.
EDIT: Yeah that was a baseless and very false assumption, CE's probably reaching end of life the moment the TI-84 Evo releases

Would it even matter to upload downgrade programs at this point? Those at 5.8.4 can still downgrade but 5.8.5 forever locks your calculator at 5.8.5.
I have a feeling this is the last round and that the cat moved to a new house. The reddit image Mateo shared said that the CE dosen't have continued OS support. I guess since this was designed for after the Evo comes out that after it comes (9 days left) that there wont be anymore OS updates.

Is that legitemate? The display size is wrong for the 84 CE.
It's been a while since I updated my 83PCEEP, but I don't expect that to have changed, and 264x165 is the right value for the graphing display area. 319x209 means that they're keeping a 320x240 physical screen, removing the artificial borders on the graphing display, and keeping the usual top part of the UI out of the graphing display area.
Why is it missing one vertical column? 320-319=1
That could happen if the vertical and horizontal axes on the 84 Evo have an odd number of pixels, and TI wants want to provide an equal number of pixels in both the left/right and top/bottom sides.
Ugh. I looked at their website and decided to install it without seeing if it blocked Artifice again.
