Hello all, first time sharing a project in this forum but doing so for good reason.
I recently posted SornaOS CE which is grounded in the Jurassic Park universe. This is a small Ti-BASIC “game” for the Ti 84+ CE. The fun of the game comes from the storyline and background behind the program. And the Easter eggs and canon references sprinkled within the program.
Now here is why I am posting here. I want to expand the story and have some fun with this. When you download the program you will a file called archive_note.md file that has background of how this program came from an old, heavily modified Ti-82 found on Isla Sorna (known as Site B) sometime around 1996/7 came into our hands today on a Ti 84+ CE. The README.md contained within the .zip download also has timeline information and details about the original device from the user who cracked this around 2017. This is our springboard.
I’ve left the program open because I would like others to tinker, expand and change the program and more importantly the story. Perhaps you have coding skills in assembly and can actually make this program a more immersive and enhanced experience. Perhaps you have an idea for a hidden module that you found after downloading this rouge program on Cemetech. The possibilities, my friends, are endless.
Like it or not from now on in the Jurassic Park universe Cemetech is complicit in hosting previously tightly controlled InGen material. One of our users had the skill and drive to actually crack the device that made its way through the hands of InGen’s liquidators and BioSyn’s corporate spies and get it running on a Ti 84+ CE. Now we have it available to use here.
What happens next?
Feel free to share your ideas and projects around the storyline here. Also tell me what you thought of the program. Anything that is wrong or inconsistent with canon? Did you enjoy any references in particular?
And to be clear, I’ve ignore the Clarissa reference from the awful JP3 film, Hurricane Clarissa is the name given to the hurricane that damaged Site B to the point of evacuation referenced by Hammond in TLW.
