Hello again Cemetech! Lately I've been working on a game that continues on from one of my previous titles "Jumperz!" where you have a character, go around and collect keys, avoid various obstacles while trying to stay alive, etc. I've been wanting to remake this for a while and since we have better capabilities to make games with libraries in TI-Basic, I've taken advantage of CelticCE to create a wonderful sequel to the game, and this time it'll be called Ascend CE.

So far, this is a simple-ish level editor where you can create worlds and levels inside of worlds for the game:

With that in mind here is a small demo of a level being played:

So far most of the editor is completed, I have yet to create the actual program with the worlds and the story. So far I just have to finish implementing portals and teleporting through them, and finish fixing other quirks. This new version of the game will feature multiple worlds, levels in those worlds, added icons and textures for the levels to fit the theming of the worlds, such as desert, lava, mountain/rock, forest, etc.

Each level can also have multiple rooms, so they can be more interesting for players. This game also has unlock able themes throughout the story and I am toying around with the idea of having achievements as well so there's more to accomplish! The game will include this level editor (although a bit tuned up) so you can make and share your own creations with Cemetech and your friends!

One thing though for this game is that it will only be compatible with Rev M+ calculators because of the how much is packed into the game engine, and a regular TI-84 Plus CE would definitely struggle with performance for the game. You can try it with a program that lowers the CPU wait state but it will make the game unstable and cause save data loss.

If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to share them here! I've spent a lot of time and effort into this project!
Looking good so far! I like the variety of different obstacles / environments. Achievements definitely seem like a fun idea as well!

Do you have any plans for how long the main game will be (how many worlds / levels, etc)?

There will be 8 worlds, and after that one, there will be a post game world as well.

There will also be a hidden world, but it will only be unlocked with certain conditions that the player must meet
Before you get excited, this update does not have portal guns sadly. Anyways, I have completed the physics of how portals operate and they are functioning. So far I have not found any bugs yet, so I'm pretty happy about that. Here's a demo of how it will pan out for the game:

You might notice the timer ticks down a bit quicker when the player goes into portals, this is intended so it will discourage users to thinking it will increase the amount of time available for the level.

There's only a few things left I have to do for the game engine and the editor and then I can begin production of the main program. If you want to try it out, shoot me a DM on Discord!
when is the estimated time that it will be uploaded to the archives
By the looks of it, It could be a while. According to the latest updates, work on the main program has not started. I would guess some time in February, or possibly March.

As of how things are going in my personal life, it might take me a while to finish. I still have to finish with making all the levels and optimizing the game engine.

I've been struggling to find motivation to continue working on it. I still do plan on getting this done eventually, but it will take me a while.
dont worry we are rooting for you
