I Bought A Ti-84 Plus CE From staples and it was new in the box and when I tried turning it on but it was not working, so I tried plugging it in then it turned on, saying, Validating OS... Calculator will restart when the validation is complete. it said that for 1 sec then I saw the raidian float auto etc on the top for like 0.5 secs then the calc turned off for a sec and then said validating os And repeated again, it still keeps repeating. my I tried resetting in on the pin push reset button on the back, also holded the button so it factory resets, nothing works. my theory is that the battery is destroyed. may anyone help me fix this

You're right. The battery is toast. Contact TI Cares and they will send you a new battery for free if the calculator is less than 2 years old.
