I started work on a (python) crosswords program a few months ago for Casio fx-CG and after a long break, I finally (almost) finished it up in the past week. The one thing I'm missing is actual crosswords. Once I have a .txt format crossword database I can code a parser in the program to convert the data to its expected format, but I just can't find a database online. The max size I'm looking for is 11x11 grids, and hopefully another databases with a smaller size too. It would have to be American style crosswords, too (where every possible place for a clue has a clue, and practically results in more of an overlapping grid). Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about compiling, so if anyone could help in any way, it would be hugely appreciated.

I don't know what the licensing situation would look like if you choose to redistribute other people's crosswords with your program. A couple of years ago, commandz made crossbun, a similar project for the TI-84+CE. There's a python converter that you can run on your computer that transmutes puz files into a data format that can be transferred to the CE. Crossbun takes this data file and lets you play the puzzle on your calculator. I imagine a similar scheme could work for your program on the fx-CG.

Thanks. The main problem I see with that site is that there is no one database I can download, just thousands of different grids. If I found a big database in .puz format I could probably just convert that into .txt format, but right now I have no one file to work with at all.
