How can I install games on a TI-84 Plus calculator? I have an old one that needs batteries; is there a way to do this?

First, you need to connect your calculator (of course, after putting in the batteries) to your computer using the link cable. You can use TI-Connect (CE) on Windows and MacOS, or TiLP on Windows, Linux, or MacOS. You can use these programs to transfer any files with an extension starting with .8x* (e.g. .8xp, .8xl, .8xn, etc...) And you're good to go!

• TiLP:

• TI-Connect™:

• TI-Connect™ CE:

On windows or macOS, Use TI Connect CE (not TI Connect), for the 84+ (even if not CE).

For a 83+, however, yes it's the ti connect (not CE) version that you'd need.

StephenM's confusion likely came from the difference between the topic name and post content.
Question, do you have a good cord to buy it because I don’t have one either and can’t find one that will work.
