sorry but how do i download the file? its in source code and i cant drag and drop into my calculator and i tried ce c sdk but it dosent work.
Well, first make sure it's been compiled. Assuming you've installed the C Toolchain, run the `make` command from the command line were the makefile is, and a .8xp should show up in the `bin` subfolder.
Make command is invalid tho
If make is invalid that means you haven't installed the toolchain properly. Check out the
getting started page for instructions.
ok i have downloaded it and ran the command. one problem:[obj/src/main.c.bc] Error -1073741819 Can someone like post a readily available link pls
I think the reason why no such link has been posted is because the project is not yet considered ready for release...
Check your PATH maybe? Did you make sure that it includes wherever you put the CEdev folder?
There's a compiled download from fenlfenl of an earlier version linked earlier in this thread. It doesn't have save states but everything else is pretty functional.
oh i didnt see that thanks! one more question:how do i convert the .nes files to 8xv files?
Using the converter.pyw file in the Famicalc download from Github. There used to be an online converter but I think it's down now.
i tried it it dosent work
It's good that you tried it, but in general, you'll need to give more precise information about what doesn't work
You have to set up the toolchain and everything too. After that and git cloning the repo, run this in the tools folder:
Code: sudo apt install python3-tk -y && sudo apt install python3.12 && python3.12 converter.pyw
Then select your NES rom. I believe mappers 0, 2 and 7 are currently supported (but hopefully more soon
)
You sure Sbay uses Linux?
"translating" into windows:
1. Install python: python.org
2. cd into the /tools directory
3. Run "python converter.pyw"
Could someone please share a build of the latest version?

Can someone who has built it put the 8xp on a Google drive and send the link because every time I try to build it, it always says that the application couldn’t be started correctly, I have tried windows, Ubuntu, and even raspberry pi os. None of them work. If you could that would be amazing.
Thanks
Ask, and you shalt receive.

I'm sorry but that is not the latest version. The latest one should support mappers 0, 1, 2, 3, and 7
Here's the Famicalc program:
Famicalc
As for ROMs, you have to either specify which ones you want or convert them yourself.
