First of all, it’s TI-BASIC we’re talking about. It’s interpreted and iirc it’s just not as capable as other languages you could implement Java in, practically.

Moreover, I understand that Java is a very powerful language also often used to teach people CS, but it doesn’t seem… appropriate on a TI calculator.
