Hi everyone,

Could someone please tell me what the output voltage of the fxCG-50's serial port is?
Hi,
I had the same question myself, so I tried creating an add-in to test serial communication. I was sending the character 0xFF using 8N1 mode inside a while(1) loop, so the serial output was:

1: start bit
11111111: character 0xFF
0: stop bit

Since I didn’t have access to an oscilloscope, I measured the average voltage with a multimeter and got around 2.80V.
So, knowing that out of the 10 bits being transmitted, 9 were at the high voltage level (which is what I was looking for), I calculated the voltage with the formula:

V = (10/9) × 2.90V = 3.11V

I’m not sure if this is a valid method, but I did my best with what I had — so take this result with a grain of salt.
