Hi,
My TI-84+CE will not turn on, and after I reset it by pressing the reset button it will not turn off. It seems like the on key does not work at all because the on key shortcuts do not work either. Also, when it is on it gets a little laggy
Is this water damage? I did clean it with clorax wipes so maybe some fluid got in.
Spilled water or another liquid, like soda, can certainly produce the symptoms that you're describing here, although I wouldn't expect cleaning wipes to have enough liquid to get in and cause damage. Did this start after you cleaned it?
Well, before I cleaned it some prograns were laggy so I thought maybe there was an issue with the memory, but after I cleaned it the on key wouldent work. I have also tried most of the fixes like taking the battery out and doing a hard reset or whatever it's called
If you're confident in your mechanical skills, you could get a Torx-6 screwdriver, take it apart, and try to gently clean the mainboard key contacts, but it's very possible to do more harm than good.

I took it apart already and attempted to clean the mainboard. Everythings back together now but theres no change
What do you think I should do? I can only turn it on by pressing the reset button on the back and thats really a pain to do
Is my calculator done for? I'm worried because school is coming up
