I'm sure that I was using the wrong paint for it, hence my problems. Even so, it took a long time before the paint job started to decay.
Did you sand the case first, to give a bit of a rough surface for the paint to stick to? Did you do any 'prep' work at all? Did you apply a clear coat? These are all things I wonder Kerm, and all things that would greatly affect the quality Razz

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I sanded the entire case, including making the back a completely flat (yet rough) surface, and followed standard computer case-mod instructions for painting.
I just use my 89TI case for my 84 and vice versa. I like the 89's case because its ever so slightly smaller so I can hold my calc by the case without worry of it sliding out like with regular 84 case. =)
me bro got me a dark red faceplate for christmas Very Happy
~30 days after I got my TI-84+SE, I got a orange texture face plate & and carrying case. I can't find the Faceplate on TI... dunno where my parents got it.
its on ti...
Isn't the face plate the thing that protects it?

Oh... yeah... its the thing between the keys... I'll post a photo (give me 5 mins to find the one a took one day when I was bored, really bad angle)
So my uber-tricked-out calc is coming up soon. It's a TI-83+ BE with:

> Calc-controlled full-spectrum backlight ("TICI CSA") [90%]
> Internal capacitor power backup [5%]
> Case cutouts [0%]
> 1337 paint job [0%]

wait wait wait key "rerendering"?

what are you doing to it?
I meant sanding the keys, repainting them, then sealing them with some kind of varnish.
gotcha, you should do them in neuropol Very Happy

My Calc Cover:

My Screen Blotch:
<-- Would have advertised DCS instead, but the program names were messed up because of a recent RAM clear, sorry Kerm

Thats MY tricked otu TI-84+SE! BOOYAHH! Razz Razz
I know someone who did that to the screen on their 86 with peanut butter
Ugh, I hate when LCDs get damaged from overpressure... I've never managed to do that to one of my calculators.
I put it in my Backpack without the case covering the screen, and my binder pushed up against it... >.<

Edited my post above BTW...
Ah yes, the case is always key. Razz And no problem, I understand re: omitting DCS. Smile

That looks really familiar. Can you get that design from TI?
Not that I'm aware of, I searched for a while, thats why I posted it. I can ask my parents where they got it... It was a birthday present.

EDIT: Okay, they said Target. Hope that helps XD
lol, it's just that my friend has that exact same cover on a 84+BE and I was like, huh, I thought it was permanent marker?
