So I have a Ti-84 Plus CE Python. So when I send stuff to the calculator using Ti Connect, it will send but when I try to run it on the calculator, I get this message:

So I think I heard that you have to update the software if you get this message, but when I go to Ti's website and find the latest edition, 5.6, my calculator says I have 5.6:

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately the images are not working - have you considered an alternate image host, like http://www.imgur.com ?
On 5.6 you'll need to use arTIfiCE to run assembly programs.
I have a video tutorial for it here:

Be careful when updating your OS in the future, because TI often likes to remove things or mess stuff up. Like commandblockguy said, there is a jailbreak that will work on 5.6, but be careful of updating later on! Very Happy

Here's is the first image: https://imgur.com/a/Y3uhW5a

Looks like an asm program to me, go with the jailbreak linked above.
If only you could downgrade to the superior 5.3.0 OS...
So thanks for everyone's help! I just got my calculator recently and never upgraded to 5.6 or 5.5. Is it possible my calculator came with the latest version already installed? But I was able to jailbreak it so everything is okay(ish). It's definitely more difficult to run any other programs but whatever.
Any American Python Edition calculator already has 5.6 installed on it, so updating didn't make a difference here. But in the future, it's probably a good idea not to upgrade without checking if TI removed any features.

Thanks for the tip, also it's too bad I can't downgrade to 5.4
