Xlibman is not a bad person, but that was unacceptable.
Funny how the only interaction I've ever had with Kevin is as the object of his vigilantism. He contributes nothing to these forums, yet every time someone has a gripe about the way I handle adminship, he's right here posting, bitching, and petitioning to have me removed. Seriously dude, get a life.
I have decided to permaban netham. As you can see, he learned nothing from his 7-day suspension. In fact, he has just become more of a problem.
this seems realy pointless...solution as necro sees it:
1. ask kevin to stop posting spammily, unban him after he agrees
2. ask Jpez to stop...if you don't like netham just ignore him...program something or step on some babies or something. Better yet, actual make a list of grievances so as he can help you not flame him.
3. have netham realise that adversity builds character and if he doesn't have character enough to survive the internet, I have a bloody shovel that can provide plenty of former. If you REALY don't like what he does, either ingonre/avoid him; try not getting on his bad side; or leave cemetech
4.everyone has cookies, cake, underage anime characters, and shots of vodka
5.there are no problems, every one is happy, necro doesn't have to break out a plauge of locust or consume the first borns of egyptians families or overwork his wrist running the nile red
so, if everyone would just act like adults (or at least with a boderline IQ) this whole thing would be done and over.
@jpez_above: that seems immature as well, and proves you can't deal with immaturity in a mature way
1. Clearly, Kevin is just being an asshole. Actions shall be undertaken to stop him.
2. I'm just doing my job as an administrator. My desire is to make the forums attractive to skilled, interesting people. Netham's signature is/was detracting from that goal/image. When I changed it and he defied me, I tried to give him a hint with my signature.
3. I want to avoid having Cemetech become a flamewar arena. I was in favor of permabanning him a week ago, but Kerm is a much nicer person than I. As we can see from recent developments, I was probably correct in thinking immediate permaban was the correct solution.

how about unbaning him and say "listen, I will not aknowledge you if you will do likewise and act sensibly." and give him a final chance, like wise say to kevin "I will give netham a final chance to act mature, please do so aswell" and after that it realy would be justifiable if you had to ban them as you gave them a chance.

yes, this has gone too far. I do not want to lose Omnimaga. I love that site, and Kevin is a great friend of mine. This needs to be worked out ASAP. If I lose Omnimaga and xlibman, I don't know what I will do.

Netham already was on his final chance. Looks like he blew it. Likewise with Kevin -- this is the 2nd time he's gone on an irrational rampage because I was "abusing" admin powers.

@jpez: you do know that continuing like this will likely cause a absolute mess of Cemetech and to a degree it already has. I would think you'd be willing to at least give them another chance and do so in such a way as at the very least, you seem like the bigger person...

I was referencing the fights that take place because of an immature person's actions. In this case, it's xlibman's taking it to another level that I think is stupid and a waste of time.
My point is that I come to this forum to discuss programming for calculators and otherwise. I feel this nonsense is a waste of time, and I will no longer acknowledge it.
I agree with you Chipmaster. This entire thing is very stupid, and I don't really feel like getting dragged into a huge ordeal. I've said what I have to say. This topic is now locked.
I just have one thing to say.
This isn't the first time this has happened. A nearly identical "crisis" happened on Calc Haven last halloween, when I pulled a prank on another member... Xlibman heard about it, swooped in to say he was leaving CH (With his post count under 40), and permbanned me from Omnimaga for being a jerk.
Oddly enough, he came back to CH... when he heard that I was up to stuff again... And what did he do? He provoked the feeding frenzy that got me unadmined (temporarily i do believe). So meh, dont think this is unusual behavior.
