If I have a sprite I just got from the screen using GetSprite(), and I want to store it in an AppVar, is there any way for me to apply zx7 compression to it during runtime?
I know that I can DEcompress zx7, but how would I compress it?
I don't believe there is a z80 compressor but the source for the command line utility can be found here I believe:

What about something like this?

EDIT:
I may just write a simple RLE algorithm, since most of the sprite is just black.
