I agree, since just about every video now 16:9 (or close to it), there's no point in keeping the 4:3 or whatever ratio it's currently at. It'll also make the embedded videos look nicer since you'll be able to view the whole thumbnail and there won't be any more huge black bars.
I'd love if there was a way to autodetect the video aspect ratio and make the container match, but I'm not aware of such a method. I agree with this.
I'm not much of a website developer (I do TI-Basic lol) but I think this would be a great idea!

Thank you! I now realize how terrible my old thumbnails look on a 16:9 preview window. Time to update them!
