Can someone tell me how to use the send/receive tags

You haven't specified in more detail what platform you're referring to, so given the forum you've posted in I assume you're asking about 8x BASIC. In that case, there is no receive token so I assume you're referring to Send( and Get(.

In short, Send( isn't very useful at all and Get( has limited use in that it can request variables from another connected calculator.
