After my calculator being dead for a few days I decided to charge it and while it was plugged in it wasn't working so I just left it alone to fully charge. Even when it was fully charged it didn't work so I reset the os. I just bought a new battery and tried resetting the os with the new one. I'm out of ideas and don't want to buy a whole new calculator
Have you tried holding [2nd][del] and depressing the reset button to reinstall the OS? There's a helpful video here about recovering from a variety of crashes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HlPgS0elRM&t=177s
