Well, It isn't that bad.

Click here for a picture of it on my kick-@$$ stand!
Yeah yeah yeah, you bought one from the TI store. Cool How much was it
Well, I got it at a Goodwill for like 20 cents. I also got another. They have different designs.

Shock How much to mail one of them to me??? Very Happy
I modified one to fit over the back of my calc(cut a hole) and I will send one to you for $30. Smile They aren't for sale. I like them.

Very Happy I was joking. Besides, they're only $10 from the TI store.
Ah..... One has blue circles and one has orange rectangles.

The bad part of making it internal is that I soldered all day andburnt my hand on the #$$@ dremel tool!
The thing with that though is that I know I'm almost always going to hurt myself modding or disassembling something, so once I do, I know I'm pretty much safe until I move on to a new project. D:
But a burn from a dremel tool! It still hurts when I type.
Dremel burn? wow... i had that problem once, it really does suck...
Did you burn yourself by touching the tool after it had been spinning a while, or while it was spinning?
Well, I haven't injured myself at all so far, but I've only been prying the case open with a screwdriver and slicing and grinding things with a dremel.
But, I ground down the PCB more, and if I go much further there's a definite possibility of mucking up the keypad (particularly ON). The good news is that the port is almost flush with the front half of the case. (Not so with the back half because the back is angled)
Sweet! Got any new screenshots ... errr ... pictures of this case?
I don't have any right now, but I can take some and have them up in a couple minutes.
Sweet. How about internals - is it connected inside the calculator yet?
Nothing's connected yet. I haven't done any soldering at all for the project yet. Maybe I'll do that tonight, too. (Read: in all likelyhood)
EDIT: Ok, I added some fresh pics.
Wow, that's looking really professional. I'm going to have to start doing this to my own calculator now...
I was using a drill bit that I don't think was even origionally for a dremel tool. I had to tape it to get it to work. Well, when I was done, I took the tip out and burned myself on it. It was hot.
Ah, I suspected something like that. I have made such a mistake more times than I'd care to recount. Cool
Yes... but something says that taping something to a 30000 RPM tool isnt the best idea either..

My Dremel has the worst habit of burning wood. Therefore, I do not touch the bit if it can be avoided.
