I don't know how to install FreeOS on my TI84 Plus CE. I try running the program but the calculator won't verify the OS. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I want to go into the source code (i know Assembly) and try to decode it.

What boot code do you have (check with [MODE] [ALPHA] [S])?

5.3.1.0050
I guess you're out of luck then. Please read this article: https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=236245#p236245

Interesting. I heard there was a way to downgrade to 5.3.0 though from TheLastMillenial.

um. https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1581757
That's how I got my calc down from 5.3.1
Just be VERY CAREFUL
Edit the line that has "01 03 05" on it and says "minimum os version" (or something like that, IIRC). Edit to contain 5.3.0, and send os 5.3.0 before you turn it off.
EDIT: I mistook the minimum os version for the boot code; they are not the same thing. My bad.
No, you can't downgrade the Boot Code, however you can edit the certificate which is how the tool beck provided works. I have no idea if it'll work for non-TI OSes though.
EDIT: I suggest using this tool instead since you're less likely mess something up that'll corrupt your calculator. However the tool beck linked can be used for much more than just changing the minimum OS version.
