It's that time again, time for the 9th PotM article in a row! It may seem like a lot, and it certainly is, but we are almost caught up with these! So without further ado, here are the projects of December 2017:

  • BOSshell for the TI-84+CE Development thread: beckadamtheinventor has created an epic new shell for the TI-84+CE, in the ICE language! BOSshell, which stands for "Beckadam Operating System Shell", will be capable of many of the things you'd expect out of a shell: file and folder management and editing, file importing, various subroutines, and more! We would love to see more of this project.
  • Catch Color Stars: goldeneternity's project "Catch Color Stars" is a fun smartphone game to play when you're bored. The goal is to catch falling stars with the matching color block, and if you mismatch the star and the block, you have to restart. Go check it out!
  • CE Video Thingie: This month, Cemetech user Iambian worked hard on his "CE Video Thingie"! With the capabilities of playing videos (kind of), Iambian has improved it to have higher resolution, better playback and better encoding. It looks like Iambian is making a lot of progress!
  • Dragon Warrior (-ish thing) on the CE: Pieman7373 has decided to remake his popular Dragon Warrior game for the CE in C! There is a cool new screenshot at the end of the thread, so go check it out!
  • FlowCE [C for TI-84+CE]: From jonbush, FlowCE is a fun game based on the popular smartphone game "Flow Free". Programmed in C, jonbush has been hard at work this month adding more features and controls to the game. More information can be found in the thread.
  • Hexicity CE: beckadamtheinventor has started a fun new game, which supposedly will be similar to "Sid Mieir's Civilization V." In essence, it will be a hexagonal tile-based civilization simulator. There are no screenshots yet, but it looks like a great idea!
  • KryptonIDE - A better program editor for the TI 84+ CE: KryptonicDragon has made significant progress on this editor this month! As seen in the thread, he has added syntax highlighting, editor themes, different modes of typing, and more! We would enjoy seeing more of this project, and it looks like it is nearly complete!
  • Latest News on Star Trek: ACagliano has been working hard adding improvements to his game, which is nearly done! There are cool graphics, battles, and all the fun stuff you might expect from a Star Trek battle. Go show ACagliano some love and support, and if you can, help him debug!
  • Life Simulator: As seen in the title, Life Simulator is a game that simulates life and all of it's decisions. Created by 21tmccauley, it looks like it will be a great game! Go show 21tmccauley some love and support!
  • Calculator Hoarder: This month, Cemetech member Michael2_3B created a cookie clicker style game in javascript, except it is based around gaining calculators. There is a link to the game and the repository in the thread, so go check it out!
  • NOS - A alternative shell: Yet another shell, this time created by The REAL LAX18, "NOS - A alternative shell" is a shell for the TI-84+ CE capable of organizing and executing files, and more. Though the project is currently idle, according to the creator, it looks great nonetheless! Check out the screenshot in the thread.
  • Quiz Viewer and Creator (TI-BASIC, TI-84 PLUS CE): dankcalculatorbro has been creating a simple quiz viewer and creator in TI-Basic. Though there are no downloads or screenshots yet, it sounds simple and useful, so go check out what he has in mind in the thread!
  • UniChat!: _iPhoenix_ has been working hard on his security measures and other features for his chatting site, which is a "free, simple, and open solution to a problem exactly none of us have!". UniChat is an extremely simple chatting service using Google's Firebase platform, so go check out the thread to see it for yourself!
  • [TI-84+CE] Offline Bitcoin Wallet: As the title suggests, SopaXorzTaker has created a cool new Offline Bitcoin Wallet for the CE. It is capable of generating and storing addresses and private keys, and can create qr codes for the file. It looks cool, especially if you're interested in bitcoin!
  • [TI84+CE] Virtual3D : A full assembly 3D engine: This month, TheMachine02 has been hard at work on his 3d engine! There has been optimization, small feature additions and more which make the engine all the more incredible. Go check out the new screenshots and information in the thread!

And those are all the wonderful projects of December! There were plenty of great projects, as always, so be sure to at least glance at each one. In addition, I encourage you to vote for your favorite completed project. Surprisingly, there were only 2 completed projects this month, so it might be a bit of a tough competition! We'll see you all again soon in next month's article.

We accidentally forgot to add JPL to the November poll, so that's why that program is in this poll, even though it's not finished in December. You can find it here: http://cemete.ch/t14186
Thanks for including JPL in the poll for this month even though it was completed last month!

I'm working on some awesome much-needed features to the game such as a system that'll let you have as many saves as you want!
You can get the current version here but I also have a beta released of the new version in the thread. Smile

Hooray JPL won! Thank you to everyone who voted for my program! Very Happy
I hope I can track down that save corruption bug so I can get the update out as quickly as possible!
