Hello, I saw a card trick to my friend where he had told me to choose a card at random and so did my friend, I choose the queen of diamonds and he chose the king of spades, we both wrote our names on the cards we picked, his on the front and mine on the back. The magician shuffled the deck and produced our card but with our names both on his card. Mine on the back his on the front how did he do this?
I once knew how to do this trick, back when I was really into magic. I forget the specific mechanics, but the general idea was that you'd get the people to sign the same card without realizing it. For instance, place the two cards on the top and bottom of the deck. Let one person sign the back of the top card. Then, while turning to the second person, stealthily maneuver the top card to the bottom, so the second person can sign the face of the "other" card. Thus, the signatures end up on the same card.
