Hi all,

Just another question on the 4.5 MB limit: Can anyone or has anyone been able to enable the OS to use the entire 16MB available of the Spansion S99-50272?

Some talk has been done here https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7957

Regards,

Mark
That is interesting to know if the hardware itself is different- maybe open it and compare to the photos from non-AU models.

Which exactly version do you have? 50 or 20? In the past OS distinguished between 10 and 20 but I’ve heard newest os dropped the difference so i wonder what os you currently have...
Unfortunately photos of non-AU models are unclear so the chip is a mystery - besides I have gathered web evidence of CG50 (nonAU) having Spansion S99-50272. My CG20AU has it too. So all calcs use Spansion S99-50272.

Interesting pt! OS 3.1 IS different between the 50 and 20, but SHOULD be the same for 20 and 20AU except the installer installs differently. Anyone can do dll modifications or ask CASIO Japan??
Ok, I can search for photos to see if it helps.

Regarding dll and os changes etc it is possible but risky - I have no experience with it - but http://www.casiopeia.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10405 maybe able to help if not too busy
