I heard that .tig files were backup files for calculators, but I still don't know how to create one for my CE.

Anyone know how?
So, apparently, every calculator except the CE has a backup function/feature. Why is the CE not included? It surely is the best of them all! Razz
I too am wondering what happened to the backup memory image. If it still exists, how do I create one?
On TI's help page, it said to just drop all the files you want into a folder, but that just drops individual files, which isn't really what we want, right?
I have a few extensions I cant create and I was wondering how to create them (if possible) on the CE
  • 8XB — Backup memory image
  • 8XE — Expression (numbers, equations, etc.)
  • 8XF — Function (Y-Vars, user-defined functions, etc.)
  • 8XZ — ASM (Assembly line program)

(I'm getting all these from here)

I looked there too, for another thread. Something about emulating a TI 84 on a CE, I think.

I've never sent any of those to my calculator ever before, but they could work.
