Yeah, I know, we've already cleared a third of a month and the PotM post isn't up! Well, it's been ready for a couple days, waiting on some final confirmation, but others are busy (as I had been) and well, we're pushing it! You guys, seriously, look at that list! So many projects to look through and write about. You were definitely one busy group of people!

Thank you for taking the time to write your projects and share them with us here on Cemetech! We sometimes never say that enough, but we definitely always appreciate it!

Check out the awesome list below:

  • Spaze Invaders: At the beginning of the month, after it was found out that if the game was hidden, writeback couldn't work properly and it would crash, JamesV released an updated version of Spaze Invaders to correct the issue.

  • 16 segment display CE: This is a rather interesting project, taken up by grosged, and is written in ez80 assembly. This program displays text to your calculator screen like the old style pinball machines displayed the score. It's rather fascinating to see this show up on a calculator screen, especially if you are old enough to have enjoyed some of the older display types from old machines.

  • Robot War 2: Dianz tian has posted up another update regarding this highly anticipated game, along with a fantastic looking screenshot! He's explained a bit on how he has his human-ish characters function via video and move-sets, and how this will allow for you to play as other characters in the later chapters. Check out the topic for more details.

  • Zombie Chase: This is a fun little game where you are a little white dot, trying to get at the red dots (Health Packs) while avoiding the little green dots (Zombies!). Any time they touch you, your hp goes down, until it fails and you fail the game. Check out the topic for a fun screenshot and a link to download it!

  • PHASM: Epharius has reappeared this past month to bring some new updates for his shell, PHASM. Initially there was a pretty big bug that caused Epharius to return the download to a prior version, but it seems he managed a proper fix and posted the updated version for all to use. Check the topic for more information.

  • Boxman CE: Botboy3000 has begun porting over his monochrome version and the 84+ CSE version to the CE in C! Check out the topic for a video and see all the progress the game has made.

  • This is the only level: This is the only level is a slightly misleading title for this interesting looking game by JWinslow23. It's for the 84+ and has a couple of awesome looking screenshots showing it off. Bounce over to the topic to check it out and get the download!

  • Scrollin Mountains mini-game: Grosged posted up a really cool mini game like item that is in pure BASIC on the monochrome 83+/84+ calculators. It features some pretty smooth looking scrolling where you have to guide an object up and over the mountains. Check out the topic to get a more indepth look at the code and the screenshots that show off this impressive little program!

  • Alien Breed 5 Ep III: That JamesV guy. He did it again. Came in, blew peoples minds, and ran off again. He's been making progress on getting the engine for the color version working, and boy do those screenshots look amazing! If you haven't seen them, bounce over to the topic, let him know how much we want this game to be playable, and soon!

  • CalcTale: Calctale is an RPG based off of the steam game, Undertale. Some progress has been made, and some nice looking screenshots were shared. Check out the thread if UnderTale is something you're looking forward to playing on your calculator!

  • CSE/CE Isometric Tilemap test: Tr1p1ea has updated/upgraded a 2 year old project, by taking it from the CSE to the CE! This isometric tilemap setup looks like it has a nice start going for it on the CE, but is currently in a rough state with the need for some optimization and love. Check out the newest screenshot of this project and do what you can to help motivate tr1p1ea to continue pushing this project forward!

  • Project Builder: Project Builder is an online SourceCoder 3-like IDE hosted by TI-Planet that allows programmers to write code for the ez80 calculators in C. It is set up in a way to be modular, so in the future, other languages and functions can be added easily. Check out the topic for more information and details about this project!

  • ICE: An Interpreter/Compiler of TI-BASIC: Inspired by how popular Axe was for 2D sidescrolling games and other program on the monochrome TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus series, PT_ is designing an on-calculator compiled language for the TI-84 Plus CE. Debate has raged among his thread's participants about whether it should try to compile regular TI-BASIC programs or take Axe's approach of having a different syntax and feature set from TI-BASIC. At the moment, PT_ is pursuing the former path, a la the only slightly specious "You can compile almost all the BASIC programs to ASM, which is 1000x faster". If you're interested in a non-C compiled language for the TI-84 Plus CE that you can write and compile directly on your calculator, stop by PT_'s thread and offer feedback and encouragment.

  • TitaniumIDE: KingInfinity is working on a multiplatform IDE that will allow programmers to write code in BASIC, ASM, and C for the 84+CE. He has a long list of features planned for the project, and has even shared a screenshot of what the project currently looks like when run! Check it out if you feel you need another IDE for your programmer's collection.

  • ProgramViewer CE: PT_ has been hard at work on his program viewer project, ringing in the new month with a fancy new feature: syntax highlighting! There are a variety of things he's worked on, showing newer screenshots as he's made progress with new features. Take a look at the topic to see more!

  • Super DX-Ball: A project by Spenceboy98, which is a breakout like game with a variety of different power-ups and features. Not much has happened since near the beginning, so jump into that topic, check out them awesome screenshots, and give him a poke to remind him we want this game!

  • TILP: Lionel Debroux has pushed an update for TILP, taking care of some optimizations and patches, with the help of Benjamin Moody. Check the topic for more specific feature updates and the download links!

  • FloodIt CE: Michael2_3B has been working on his CE port of FloodIt!, and the screenshot presented looks great. You can also find the download link in the link to the post.

  • xLIB CE: Tr1p1ea has begun 'seriously' porting xLIBCE to the CE graphing calculators this month, and dropped quite the bombshell of a screenshot on us. Well, more than one. Picking up the pieces of my blown mind, here. He shows comparison shots between the CSE and CE, and it's insane how much faster things run. Check out the topic and let him know how awesome his work is!

  • Nspire Lua3D Smooth Terrain Demonstration: This is a very cool little project that shows smooth voxel terrain on the color Nspire, using Lua. The programmer, Tag365, ported this over from an iOS project of his. Check out the topic for some pretty impressive looking screenshots and a download link to check out the software yourself!

  • Sorcery of Uvutu: 123outerme has released a couple of new screenshots showcasing his project. So far, the game itself looks quite fantastic, utilizing a great many of the tools that xlibCE has to offer.

  • Escheron: Twilight over Ragnoth: Iambian has released an amazing looking screenshot, showcasing the fantastic looking battle system. His post also contains a list of all the improvements and new features the game currently has.

  • FloodIt CE: This version of FloodIt is by Unicorn, being written in C for the CE! He's currently working through a bug in the system, so go give some encouragement to help him pass this obstacle!

  • Game of Life CE: Elfprince13 has joined merthsoft in making changes to his GoL project. I honestly know very little about the simulation, but elfprince offered up several screenshots from various 'scenarios' that are all pretty cool, definitely worth checking out!

  • Minesweeper CE: Merthsoft has begun porting over another of his Prizm projects, Prizm Minesweeper. This looks just as awesome on the CE as it did on the Prizm, and he's released a beta version of the project. Check it out if you need more Minesweeper in your life!

  • ConvPNG: MateoConLechuga has released a big update for his image conversion setup, making it more useful for C and asm programmers. The new features seem a bit complicated, so check the post itself and download the latest version of this program!

  • Checkers CE: MateoConLechuga has ported over a checkers engine and added a UI for it. The game itself looks pretty awesome for a quick C port, so check the topic for them screenshots and that download link!

  • CEmu: Adriweb pushed a new version of CEmu up, adding various features to the emulator. Check it out for a more technical list of features, along with a download link and screenshots!
