Heh, no problem. I've made some improvements with this too, though, specifically smoothing out the bottom plate and using a ball bearing instead of a hex nut.
yeah, the ball bearing would help, or just even bushings. About 10 or 11 bearing in there, and she would be super smooth (at least reels with them many are).

Actually, that would probably cause it to issue too many keypresses in conflicting directions at once...
